Hi, I’m Jess and here’s the story behind Ume.
After training as a professional dancer, I had the most incredible opportunity to live, dance and perform in Tokyo – pretty cool right?
Having spent two and a half years embracing life on the other side of the world, I found myself mesmerised by the way flowers are intwined in the culture – and it was here I discovered the beauty of Ume.
Years later, with the beauty of Ume still in my mind, I took a leap of faith during the pandemic.
With encouragement from family and friends, I found myself creating wedding bouquets and bringing brides visions to life; I realised something special was blossoming in circumstances that were quite challenging – just like the Ume flower.

Ume (oo-me)
Ume (oo-me) is plum blossom in Japan, and is the first flower to bloom after a dark and miserable winter.
